I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area of Northern California. I started working in veterinary clinics at the age of 15, and am my most fulfilled when working with animals. I absolutely love being a vet!
After completing my undergraduate degree at the University of California, I relocated to Scotland to study veterinary medicine at the University of Edinburgh. Upon graduation in 2013, I returned to the USA to complete a rigorous 1-year small animal rotating internship at a specialist veterinary clinic near Washington D.C. This gave me the opportunity to focus on the emergency/critical care and soft tissue surgery aspects of the job that I find particularly rewarding. Since 2014 I have been working as an emergency veterinarian on the West coast of the USA - from San Diego, California to Seattle, Washington.
In 2019 I relocated my family back to my favorite city, Edinburgh, and now I am here to stay! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, Ivy Mae and my Chihuahua mongrel, Olive. My other hobbies include DIY, pottery, weightlifting and quilting.
